Twiggs County School District Education: 692 students were enrolled in 2022-23 school year

There were 692 students enrolled in Twiggs County School District in the 2022-23 school year, 2.2% more than the previous year, according to reports from the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52% of them were male, and 48% were female.

Data also shows that most of the students were Black, representing 64.9% of the Twiggs County School District's total enrollment.

Twiggs County School District roughly covers three schools within Twiggs County and has a main office in Jeffersonville.

Among the three schools in Twiggs County School District, Jeffersonville Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 299 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Chronic absenteeism in Georgia has declined from its 2022 peak of 25%, but it still remains above pre-pandemic levels (11.8%). In 2024, about 20.7% of all students in the state missed 10% or more of their classes.
