There were 15,920 African American students enrolled in Bibb County school district in the 2022-23 school year, 2% more than the previous year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Data showed that Bibb County school district welcomed 20,411 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, African American students comprised 78% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the county's school district.

This is the only school district located within Bibb County, with its main office in Macon.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 15:1, which is better than the national average of 16:1. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
