As the holidays approach, we are reminded how thankful we are to the Stratford community. From parent volunteers to alumni returning for reunions to grandparents attending holiday programs to donors to our recent Day of Giving, Stratford supporters come in all shapes and sizes. While we can never say “thank you” too many times, we want to share our appreciation for all you do for our school, students, and staff.
We also want to share information about a program that benefits you, Georgia taxpayers, and Stratford Academy – the Georgia GOAL tax credit for education program. Georgia GOAL allows taxpayers to allocate a portion of their state income tax dollars to support our mission of challenging students to reach their fullest potential. Your designated tax dollars become tuition assistance for eligible families.
Through the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program, you can ‘spend’ some of the state income taxes you must pay anyway to provide tuition assistance for students desiring to attend Stratford. For your contribution, you will receive a 100% Georgia income tax credit for the amount of your contribution. See the chart below for the tax credits available to you.
Applications for the 2023 GOAL tax credits should be submitted by December 1 and can be completed in a few minutes at www.goalscholarship.org. Payments are due in mid-March 2023. There are increased limits for individuals and businesses in 2023 – we hope you will take advantage of them!
