HD Historic Properties, LLC has announced the upcoming opening of a Flying Biscuit Cafe in Downtown Macon. The Atlanta-based breakfast and southern-inspired food chain will be located on the ground floor of the Washington Lofts building at Mulberry and 2nd Street. Construction is underway, with an expected opening date in May.

Flying Biscuit Cafe, established in 1993, has become well-known across the South for its biscuits, grits, and pancakes. The chain has expanded to multiple states including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas. This new location marks its first entry into Macon.

The cafe will occupy a space of 2,756 square feet. Its menu includes breakfast items available all day such as omelets and benedicts along with options for vegetarians, vegans, and those requiring gluten-free meals. Additionally, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and wraps will be offered.

Ariel Esteves, co-owner of Flying Biscuit Cafe Macon said: “We are thrilled to bring the very first Flying Biscuit Cafe to Macon in this beautiful space in Downtown.” She added that she and her husband Jason look forward to contributing a great restaurant to the area.
