UPDATE: Death Investigation on Thoroughbred Lane

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred in the 300 block of Thoroughbred Lane at 11:01p.m. Friday.

Deputies responded to Thoroughbred Lane in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival deputies found 52-year-old Pinal Kumar Patel, his wife Rupalben Patel, and child Bhakti Patel, suffering from gunshot wounds in the driveway of their home. All three were transported to Atrium Health where Mr. Patel was later pronounced deceased by Deputy Coroner Luann Stone. Mrs. Patel and her daughter are listed in stable condition. 

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are still actively investigating this incident.  Further details will be released once more information becomes available.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred in the 300 block of Thoroughbred Lane at 11:01p.m. Friday.

Deputies responded to Thoroughbred Lane in reference to a person shot. Upon arrival deputies found a 52-year-old male and his wife and child suffering from gunshot wounds in the driveway of their home. All three victims were transported to Atrium Health where the male was later pronounced deceased by Deputy Coroner Luann Stone. The wife and child are listed in stable condition.  

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are still determining the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Further details will be released once more information becomes available.
