Suspects on Brigham Street Arrested for Drugs and Guns

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit and members of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit arrested two individuals for guns and drugs on November 28, 2022. Bibb Sheriff’s Office Drug investigators received information that there were illegal drugs and guns at a residence that is located on Brigham Street. 

Investigators arrived at the residence to check out the complaint. They made contact with a female that attempted to walk away from the residence, as they approached. While speaking with that female, a strong odor of marijuana emitted from her person. The female was found to be in possession of several marijuana blunts and a quantity of methamphetamines. The female was taken into custody. 

As investigators knocked on the door and spoke with a female that lives at the home, a male pulled up in a Dodge Charger. The male had a strong odor of marijuana emitting from his person, as he approached investigators. The male had a marijuana blunt on his person and investigators located over 1.2 pounds of marijuana and two firearms in his vehicle. One of the firearm’s serial number was scratched off. The male was taken into custody. 

Investigators continued to speak with the female resident, who lived at the house on Brigham Street. Investigators found a quantity of marijuana and an additional four firearms inside of the residence. Investigators discovered that a male who lives at the residence is a convicted felon and is not allowed to be in possession of firearms. That male was not at the residence at the time that investigators were on scene. Warrants will be issued for his arrest. 

The two individuals that were taken into custody are,  33-year-old Benjamin Tyler Tipton and 38-year-old Christian Dawn Kuntz. Both Tipton and Kuntz were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. 

Benjamin Tyler Tipton is currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charges of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and ( two counts ) of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony. 

Christian Dawn Kuntz is currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charge of Possession of Methamphetamines. 

Additional arrests and charges are pending further investigation.
