Stratford Academy issued the following announcement on May 11. 

Seniors Shorter McCook and Gunn Bush were honored at the Macon Sports Hall of Fame Annual Banquet on May 10th as scholar-athlete recipients for their outstanding performance in the classroom and competing for the Eagles.

Shorter is the daughter of Thomas McCook and the late Cammie McCook. She is a three-sport athlete lettering in Softball, Basketball, and Tennis. Shorter has a 4.25 GPA and will attend the University of Georgia in the fall.

Gunn is the son of Jeana and Seth Bush. He is a three-sport athlete lettering in Cross Country, Track, and Tennis. Gunn has a 4.2 GPA and will attend Emory University this fall where he will continue his track career.
