Stratford Academy issued the following announcement on Jan. 9.
The Stratford Girls Cross Country Team had an incredible season with four runners finishing in the Top Ten at the Region Meet giving them All-Region honors. The following placed Annie Putzke 3rd, Jean Hightower 6th, Dylan Driver 7th, and Hadley Horner 8th. Congratulations ladies!

Lamar County Elementary School reported an enrollment of 32 Hispanic students for the 2024-25 school year, based on Georgia Department of Education data.
According to the Georgia Department of Education, Upson-Lee Elementary saw 37 Hispanic students enrolled for the 2024-25 year.
In the 2024-25 school year, African American students represented 23% of Monroe County Middle School- Banks Stephens Campus’ total enrollment.
