Stratford Academy issued the following announcement on Jan. 3.
Congratulations, Dr. Jeremy McClure ‘96. Dr. McClure has been named to the Southern Conference 100th Anniversary Team for men’s soccer. He holds the Georgia Southern record for career goals and career points and was selected to the first team All SoCon in 1997, 1998, and 1999. Dr. McClure was inducted into the Georgia Southern Athletic Hall of Fame in the fall of 2021.

According to the Georgia Department of Education, Lamar County Elementary School counted 388 white students enrolled for the 2024-25 academic year.
The 2024-25 enrollment at Howard Middle School includes 48 multiracial students, a 23.1% rise from the prior year, data from the Georgia Department of Education shows.
Nine Hispanic students attended Twiggs County High School during the 2024-25 school year, Georgia Department of Education data shows.
