Enrollment Analysis: African American students comprised 6% of Pike County's school district student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 208 African American students enrolled in Pike County school district in the 2022-23 school year, 1.5% more than the previous year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.

Data showed that Pike County school district welcomed 3,482 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, African American students comprised 6% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the county's school district.

This is the only school district located within Pike County, with its main office in Zebulon.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 15:1, which is better than the national average of 16:1. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
