Census Bureau: 80.7% of people in Twiggs County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 8,034 citizens living in Twiggs County in 2021, 80.7% were old enough to vote, equating to 6,480 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 3,173 were male, constituting 49%, and 3,307 were female, making up 51%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Twiggs County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 76.2%.
