December 2022: 9 inmates sentenced in Monroe County could be released from Georgia Department of Corrections

The sentences of nine inmates in Monroe County could be completed in December 2022, releasing them from the custody of the Georgia Department of Corrections.

These inmates have a maximum possible release date that falls in December 2022. The State considers these dates as when the longest-running sentence with time served for a criminal is set to expire. The actual release date of those incarcerated in Georgia jails could happen earlier due to the inmate being granted clemency.

The inmate who could be released during December 2022 who served the longest amount of time was Rongie Kenaittya Alexander for Aggravated Battery. Rongie Kenaittya Alexander spent more than 20 years incarcerated.
