Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is pleased to recognize September 20, 2022 as National Voter Registration Day. Through our partnership with the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS), election officials across the country will be raising awareness of voter registration practices, methods, and providing public information encouraging all eligible citizens to have their voices heard.
"Voter registration is the first step in becoming an engaged and involved member of your community," said Secretary Raffensperger. "National Voter Registration Day is an important opportunity for elections officials to communicate with the public and to raise awareness of the ease of registration in Georgia."
Georgia provides multiple ways to register to vote. Georgians can register in person, at the Department of Driver Services, by mail, or online. Georgians are encouraged to check My Voter Page prior to the start of early voting to confirm their registration status, update their address, and confirm their polling locations for the upcoming election. The deadline to register for the upcoming election is October 11th.
Election offices across the state will be sharing information on National Voter Registration Day with the hashtag #VoteReady. Georgia has been recognized as #1 for Election Integrity for promoting best practices in election administration, including voter registration.
