The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, along with members of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, Gang Unit, and Sheriff’s Response Team Units executed two narcotics search warrants on two different residences on August 17, 2022. One of the homes was owned by 45-year-old Mario Perez Parker, the second home is where he resided. The narcotics warrants were served in the 2800 block of Elpis Street and another was served in the 1900 block of Christian Avenue.
As members of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the home that is located on Elpis Street, Parker could be seen running into the home, and then a short time later returned to the front door. Search Warrants were served on both of the residences. Approximately 10 ounces of Codeine was recovered, also 18 grams of marijuana , several THC pens, multiple digital scales, over $25,000.00 in currency, and a stolen 9mm handgun.
Mario Parker is reported to be a convicted felon and is not allowed to possess a firearm. Mario Perez Parker was taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center and charged with Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon, Possession of Controlled Narcotic in Schedule II, Theft Lost Mislaid Property- Felony, and Marijuana less than an Ounce. Parker does not have a bond at this time.
