NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE:
The Crawford County Board of Commissioners has tentatively adopted a 2022 millage rate which will require an increase in property taxes by 23.13 percent in the Unincorporated portion of the county and 19.81 percent in the incorporated portion of the county.
All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at Paul Coverdale Room at Crawford County Courthouse 100 GA Hwy 42 South Knoxville GA 31050 on August 2, 2022, at 6:00 P.M.
Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at Crawford County Courthouse located at 100 GA Hwy 42 South Knoxville, GA 31050 on August 16, 2022, at 6:00 P.M. and August 30, 2022, at 6:00 P.M.
This tentative increase will result in an Unincorporated millage rate of 14.030 mills, an increase of 2.636 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 11.394 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with fair market value of $100,000.00 is approximately $105.44 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $105.44.
This tentative increase will result in an incorporated millage rate of 15.770 mills, an increase of 2.607 mills. Without this tentative increase, the millage rate will no more than 13.163 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $104.28 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately 104.28.
