Georgia Secretary of State issued the following announcement on Mar. 29.
Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s She Leads financial empowerment program will be hosting a 4-part virtual series workshop to turbo charge the financial well-being of Georgia small businesses. The series will kick off with Part 1 on Thursday, April 7 at 6pm with “Maximizing profit through selecting optimal revenue models.” The workshops will continue through the month of May.
“As a small business owner, I know the challenges of successfully launching and building a business,” said Raffensperger. “During this year’s Financial Literacy Month, I encourage all Georgia entrepreneurs to take advantage of my office’s 4-part workshop that will provide them with the tools and knowledge to help develop a thriving business. A pro-business mindset that fosters entrepreneurship is what has made Georgia the number one state for business for eight years in a row.”
The 4-part virtual series is broken down into 4 one-hour workshops. Our interactive workshops provide a deep dive into the topics of:
Part 1: Maximizing profit through selecting optimal revenue models - Thursday, April 7 at 6pm
There are multiple ways to make money with your products and services, but leveraging the right revenue models will maximize your revenue potential. In this 1-hr guided session we will explore popular revenue models, how to decide which is best for you and new ones to use.
Part 2: Business financial planning essentials - Thursday, April 21 at 6pm
Business financial planning is essential for ensuring that your business is on track for long term financial stability and viability, and is also critical during fundraising. This 1-hr guided instruction workshop will cover the key elements to building your own business financial plan and suggest exercises so you can take action right away.
Part 3: Pricing your products and services - Thursday, May 5th at 6pm
Mispriced products and services are one of the biggest money leaks for businesses. During this 1-hr guided session you will learn how to develop your pricing strategy to ensure you are pricing your products and services for financial sustainability.
Part 4: Developing your fundraising strategy - Thursday, May 19th at 6pm
Success on the fundraising trail begins with a well-crafted fundraising strategy. During this 1-hr guided instruction workshop we will cover how to develop a winning fundraising strategy.
The events will be moderated by Award-winning Journalist Donna Lowry and will be facilitated by Founder & CEO, Finance Savvy CEO™, and creator of Your Profit Playbook™ Marguerite Pressley Davis. These interactive workshops will take place on the phone and online, giving our participants flexibility to join on any device. Participants will receive a downloadable workbook, hands-on activities, and dedicated Q&A incorporated during and at the end of each workshop to allow participants to get their most pressing questions answered. Since the workshops build on each other, attendance to all workshops is encouraged.
She Leads is a women’s financial empowerment seminar series hosted by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger as part of his multi-faceted financial literacy platform and is administered through the Securities and Charities. These free webinars feature industry leaders who discuss resources that can help increase attendees’ knowledge about money, their relationship to money, and financial issues and strategies for growing their wealth.
