Upson Regional Medical Center issued the following announcement on Sept. 27.
Upson Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome cardiologist Joshua Donis, M.D., to Upson Cardiology.
Dr. Donis comes to Upson from St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Donis specializes in general cardiology, preventive cardiology care, non-invasive imaging and risk factor management.
Dr. Donis earned his bachelor’s degree at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD and his medical degree at Stony Brook School of Medicine in Stony Brook, NY. He completed his cardiovascular disease fellowship and residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, NY.
Dr. Donis is excited to join the Upson Cardiology team alongside Dr. Ryan Macwar, Dr. Almois Mohamad and nurse practitioner Candice Young. “I am looking forward to taking care of the cardiology needs of this population. There are so many friendly people here in Thomaston and I can’t wait to develop long-term relationships with my patients,” he said.
