Atrium Health Navicent issued the following announcement on Sept. 7.
Public COVID-19 vaccination services are now available at two Atrium Health Navicent physicians’ office locations, the health system announced on Tuesday.
Vaccines for adults and children aged 12 and older are available at the following locations:
· Atrium Health Navicent Primary Care West Macon, 3780 Eisenhower Parkway, Macon
· Atrium Health Navicent Children’s Care Downtown Macon, 744 First Street, Macon
Vaccine-only appointments are available, but vaccines are also offered for eligible patients during their office visit.
Third dose booster shots for immunocompromised individuals are available at both locations. To schedule a vaccine-only appointment, visit www.CovidsafeGA.org. Vaccine availability is allocated and managed by the state. A parent or guardian must accompany minors to all vaccine appointments.
“Vaccination is our proven best method to stop the spread of this devastating virus and prevent severe illness,” said Atrium Health Navicent President and CEO Delvecchio Finley. “Protect yourself and your loved ones. Get vaccinated today.”
Full U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval was granted for the Pfizer vaccine last month for use in individuals aged 16 and older. The vaccine also continues to be available under emergency use authorization for children aged 12 through 15 and for third dose administration in certain immunocompromised individuals.
The Johnson & Johnson and Moderna vaccines have been approved for emergency use in everyone aged 18 and older.
Vaccinated individuals and those waiting to be vaccinated are encouraged to continue to practice COVID-safe behaviors including wearing a mask in public, social distancing and frequent hand washing. Individuals with health questions about being vaccinated are asked to consult with their primary care physician.
