Monroe County recently issued the following announcement.
The Monroe County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for a Part-Time Road Maintenance Worker. The work of this position is responsible for assisting with maintaining roads, drainage systems, county rights-of-way and grass cutting. Physical demands typically include standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, and frequent lifting of both light and heavy objects. Deadline for applications is September 1, 2021. Starting salary will be $11.84 per hour. Applications will be accepted at Monroe County Commission Office, 38 West Main Street on the third floor, between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Applicants will be subject to a background check and drug screening. Monroe County is an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.
