COUNTY OF MONROE: Now Hiring Information Technology Director

County of Monroe issued the following announcement on July 26. 

The Monroe County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a Full-Time IT Director. This position is responsible for maintaining all County Department automated information systems including, but not limited to personal computers, workstations, networks and peripheral equipment: monitors system operations; establishes user access levels; performs periodic backup of data and programs, and maintains system security. 

Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field and 2-5 year experience in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires advanced computer application skills. 

The IT Specialist works under the general supervision of the County Manager. The salary range is $60,072 - $84,116 depending on education and experience. Applications will be taken until the position is filled and can be picked up at the Monroe County Board of Commissioners Office, 38 West Main Street, Forsyth, Georgia 31029 from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday or downloaded from our website at www.monroecoga.org.
