Robins Financial Credit Union has provided more than $54,000 to thirty teachers across Georgia as part of its 4th Annual GRANTED program. The initiative aims to support educators by easing the financial challenges associated with purchasing classroom supplies and resources.

The GRANTED program, started in 2022, is open to K-12 teachers working in schools within Robins Financial’s 45-county service area. Selected recipients receive either classroom supplies or monetary donations for items on their wish lists.

Alicia Johnson, a teacher at Baldwin County High School and one of this year’s recipients, said, “With the support of Robins Financial Credit Union, I have been able to take my classroom to the next level. An innovative mobile math classroom allows us to break away from the traditional four walls and bring learning to life in a dynamic, engaging setting. This flexibility supports differentiated instruction, meeting students’ diverse learning needs by incorporating movement, collaboration, and real-world connections, ultimately increasing engagement and deepening understanding.”

Since launching the program, Robins Financial has distributed over $159,000 to local teachers.

Christina O’Brien, President and CEO of Robins Financial Credit Union, stated: “Through our GRANTED program, we are proud to help local teachers bring their creative classroom ideas to life. Their dedication to shaping the minds of future generations inspires us every day, and we’re honored to play a part in their important work.”

The full list of this year’s grant recipients includes educators from various cities such as Macon, Athens, Milledgeville, Perry, Conyers, Eastman, McRae, Gray, Fort Valley, Eatonton, Warner Robins, Dublin, Stockbridge and Watkinsville.
