Public’s Assistance Requested Locating Vehicle And Persons Of Interest In Thoroughbred Lane Death Investigation

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a dark in color 4-door vehicle. Investigators are also asking for assistance identifying persons of interest in this case. This is in reference to the homicide of Pinal Kumar Patel who was shot in his driveway in the 300 block of Thoroughbred Lane on Friday, January 21, 2023, at 11:01p.m.

It was reported that Mr. Patel and his family were arriving home from work when the family was confronted by three masked individuals with guns. Mr. Patel confronted the three and while doing so, shots were fired at the family. The three masked individuals  then ran to a dark in color vehicle waiting across the street occupied by a fourth person. The individuals then fled the scene. No items were reported to have been taken from the family. 

Investigators continue to work this incident  and are committed to utilizing the full resources that law enforcement can provide to resolve this case.
