Piedmont has opened a new primary care clinic in Macon, marking its third facility of this type in Middle Georgia this year. The new location, Piedmont Primary Care at Bass Road, is situated at 100 N. Macon St. off Bass Road.

Primary care providers play a key role in managing patients’ health through regular checkups, disease prevention plans, coordination of care, and the diagnosis and treatment of various illnesses and conditions.

Stephen J. Daugherty, CEO of Piedmont Macon Medical Center and Piedmont Macon North Hospital, stated: “While we have provided access to care when people are the sickest and need emergent care, it is just as important to provide preventative care and care management to our community. We look forward to Piedmont’s plans to continue to expand primary care access here in Macon.”

The clinic’s team includes three physicians accepting new patients:

– Anh Le, M.D., who graduated from Ross University and completed her internal medicine residency at Memorial Health Medical Center through Mercer University in Savannah. She is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and manages chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, COPD, obesity, cardiovascular disease, stroke, CKD and GERD. Her areas of interest include women’s health, obesity management and treatment, geriatric medicine and advanced care planning.

– Nisarg Patel, M.D., who earned his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine with residency at Houston Healthcare/Emory Hospital in Warner Robins. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Patel treats conditions including heart failure, COPD/asthma, diabetes, hypertension and arthritis for patients aged 16 years or older. His special interests are preventive care; joint injections for knees, shoulders or carpal tunnel; skin biopsies; complex diagnostic evaluation; and investigating unclear medical conditions.

– Izien Imoukhuede, M.D., who received his medical degree from Medical University of the Americas with residency training through Unity Health. Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Imoukhuede provides comprehensive healthcare services—including acute and chronic condition management—for those aged 16 years or older. He coordinates patient care with specialists to ensure continuity and quality outcomes with a focus on holistic patient care and preventive health.

Patients at this location will have options for same-day appointments as well as online scheduling and video visits for safer access to providers. More information about appointments can be found at piedmont.org/BassRd or by calling 478-765-4520.

Earlier this year Piedmont opened additional clinics—Piedmont Primary Care of Warner Robins and Piedmont Primary Care at Charter Blvd.—where providers are also welcoming new patients.
