Job Summary

This work is performed under the direct supervision of the Center Manager providing delivery of meals to senior clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

 Packages meals, loads delivery vehicle and delivers meals to homebound clients

 Monitors temperatures, quality and quantity of meals. In addition, monitors the temperature of last meal delivered on each route twice per month; reports on appropriate form.

 Maintains appropriate files, logs and reports on meal delivery

 Must obtain a police report at the time of accident. Report any accidents in writing to the immediate supervisor. Follow established plan of action for accidents/incidents/moving violations.

 Maintenance and care of assigned vehicle to include safety checks, ensuring fluid levels and tires are maintained; ensures that vehicle is clean inside and out

 Cleanliness of meal transporters.

 Distribution of nutrition education materials to clients; maintaining appropriate documentation

 Check twice monthly the refrigerator and freezer of the homebound clients to ensure that clients are eating their meals appropriately and that the refrigerator is functioning properly

 Transport clients and provide escort services on an as needed basis

 Assist and serve congregate meals as needed

 Other Duties as required.

 Must be willing to report suspected elder abuse, neglect or exploitation of any client to supervisor to ensure safety of clients

 Attends and participates in meetings and trainings as required

Minimum Requirements of the Position

 Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

 Must be a US citizen; have a Permanent Resident Card, or an alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551)

 Must have and maintain a clean driving record (NOT TO EXCEED 6 PTS)

 Must have and maintain a criminal history absent of convictions for violent crimes or for any crime against children.

 Must be at least 24 years of age or meet the requirements of agency insurance carrier

 Must have and maintain private automobile insurance with proper liability insurance.

 First aid/CPR certification required
