The Crawford County Tax Assessors Office is currently accepting applications for the position of Appraiser Trainee, Appraiser I, Appraiser II, and Appraiser III.

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or its equivalent, college preferred and have a valid driver’s license.

Qualified applicants must be willing to learn all aspects of mass appraisal, including customer service, field work, mapping, strong computer skills a must and personal property appraisal.

Applicants must be able to go out in the field and endure adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, humidity, rain and temperature extremes. Exposures to animals are prevalent also.

Applicants must be willing to attend classes that will be out of the County. The selected applicant will be required to pass a drug and background check prior to employment. The starting salary will be $15.00 to $21.50.
