Monroe County Middle School Were Alerted to a Possible Threat Towards the School

On Thursday, March 23, 2023, administrators at Monroe County Middle School were alerted to a possible threat towards the school that was allegedly made by an MCMS student over social media.

   Superintendent Dr. Mike Hickman and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office were made aware of the situation by MCMS administration. Monroe County school officials and the Sheriff’s Office  are still investigating the alledged threat. Until the investigation is complete, the individual alleged to be involved with this threat will not be on campus. The middle school campus will be supported by law enforcement to ensure student safety.

   No charges have been filed at this time. Safety will continue to be our top priority for all Monroe County Students!
