Monroe County issued the following announcement on May 6.

The Monroe County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates Groundskeeper. This position is responsible for maintaining the landscaping of different county properties. Duties also include grounds maintenance duties such as trimming hedges, raking, mowing, and edging. Applicant must possess a valid Georgia Driver’s License. Starting salary is $12.08 per hour. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Applications will be accepted at Monroe County Commission Office, 38 West Main Street, between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Applicants will be subject to a background check and drug screening. Monroe County is an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.
