Monroe County issued the following announcement on Mar 1.
The Monroe County Board of Commissioners has made available a community survey requesting public feedback on the county’s housing laws regarding RVs.
The survey, which debuted on the county website this morning, was created by District 2 Commissioner Eddie Rowland and formatted for public consumption by the Middle Georgia Regional Commission (MGRC).
The survey will be available to be filled out in two ways: 1.) by accessing the county’s website www.monroecoga.org and clicking on the pop-up ad on the home page to complete an online submission, 2.) by picking up a paper copy of the survey on the third floor of the administration building to be turned in at the same location.
Survey participants will not be asked to give their names, addresses or contact information.
The survey results will not determine Commissioners’ eventual course of action on enforcement of the county’s existing housing laws or whether the Board chooses to alter the county’s existing housing laws. However, it will be another tool for Commissioners to use to gain community input and to gauge citizen opinion on the matter.
If you have an interest at all in the county’s future in regards to its laws concerning the use of recreational vehicles as residences, please participate in the survey.
The survey will be available for the entire month of March, officially ending at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 31.
