The Lamar County Sheriff’s Office sends our prayers and condolences to Harris County Pct 7 Office, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Chavis family, and everyone who knew her. Rest in Peace, we will take it from here. Thank you for your service.

Deputy Jennifer Chavis was killed by a suspected drunk driver on April 2. The patrol car Chavis was driving became engulfed in flames. Chavis sustained injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
