John F. Kennedy, a Republican who has represented Georgia’s 18th Senate District since 2015, recently shared several updates on his campaign for Lieutenant Governor and community engagements via social media.
On December 4, 2025, Kennedy wrote about his visit to Bainbridge: “Great to visit with folks in Bainbridge to lay out my strong conservative record and my vision to be Georgia’s next Lieutenant Governor.”
Two days later, on December 5, he expanded on his motivations for running for office: “I’m running because I think it’s important that we have good, conservative, common-sense folks who understand the real world and understand what rural Georgia and small town Georgia is like. It’s important to understand what Atlanta is like, too. We need someone who can be”
Kennedy also acknowledged local sports achievements on December 7 by congratulating the University of Georgia football team: “Congratulations to the SEC Champions @GeorgiaFootball!! “
Kennedy was first elected to the Georgia State Senate in 2015 after succeeding Cecil Staton as the representative of the state’s 18th Senate District.
