John F. Kennedy, a Republican who has represented Georgia’s 18th Senate District since 2015, announced endorsements from several local officials in a series of posts on June 2, 2026.

In his first post at 15:42 UTC, Kennedy wrote, “Honored to have the support of the Former Mayor of Milton, Joe Lockwood! https://t.co/bljlZe9Arq”.

Later that day at 16:32 UTC, he posted, “Honored to have the support of Representative Rick Townsend! https://t.co/j5nzMSu0K5”.

One minute later at 16:33 UTC, Kennedy added another endorsement announcement: “Honored to have the support of Representative Chris Erwin! https://t.co/mxZgO3ZEUQ”.

Kennedy has served in the Georgia State Senate since winning election in 2015 and succeeded Cecil Staton as senator for District 18. The endorsements come as part of his ongoing efforts to build political alliances within Georgia’s Republican Party.
