Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 12.

The Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with our local high schools and the Professional Association of Georgia Educators  , would like to congratulate the Bibb County STAR Students and Teachers!

Each year, the student at each local high school with the highest overall SAT score (achieved in one sitting) is awarded the STAR recognition. The students then choose their STAR teacher, an educator who has made a major impact on their lives.

The Chamber is proud to continue bringing this program to our Macon-Bibb schools. We would also like to thank our sponsors, who make this possible – Cadence Bank , Sullivan Forestry Consultants, Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center

Congratulations again to each of these outstanding students and teachers!
