Goodwill to host Spring Job Fair in Macon on April 16 for job seekers and employers

Goodwill of Middle Georgia announced on April 7 that it will hold its Spring 2026 Job Fair on Thursday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Anderson Conference Center in Macon. The event is free for job seekers and aims to connect residents with hiring employers and career resources.

The job fair comes as many local employers are looking to fill positions while community members seek stable employment opportunities. According to the official website, the Macon County Chamber of Commerce supports workforce development, educational initiatives, and community engagement to drive regional growth.

Candace Simmons, Career Center Coordinator at Goodwill of Middle Georgia, said, “Job seekers are looking for more than a job. They’re looking for a path forward. This event creates a space where people can meet employers, build confidence and take that next step toward a career.” Attendees will be able to meet face-to-face with employers from various sectors including education, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics and public service.

Employers expected at the event include Accurate Heating & Air, Ambassador Personnel, Bibb County School District and Sheriff’s Office, Coca-Cola, Delta Life Insurance Company, Georgia Power – Plant Scherer among others. Community partners such as Atrium Health Healthy Foods and Helms College will also offer support services aimed at long-term success.

According to the official website of the Macon County Chamber of Commerce , Yvonne Evans holds the position of president and chief executive officer for the organization which works to advance economic vitality and enhance quality of life in Macon County . The Chamber serves businesses across Macon County , Illinois , offering networking opportunities , advocacy , resources , events , programs , economic development focus , and business support .

Job seekers who visit a local Goodwill Job Connection before the fair can receive resume help; those who do so gain early entry at 9:30 a.m., ahead of general admission. Pre-registration is encouraged via Goodwill’s website or directly through their online portal.

Employers interested in participating can register for $25 per table; registration fees help fund Goodwill’s education and training services throughout Middle Georgia. More details about employer participation are available on Goodwill’s website.
