County of Twiggs issued the following announcement on Feb. 9.

Pursuant to O.C.G.A.§ 21-2-131 (1) (A), the Twigg County Board of Education at the January 11, 2022, meeting set the following qualifying fees for the 2022 election year.

BOARD OF EDUCATION DISTRICT 1 $ 216.00

BOARD OF EDUCATION – DISTRICT 3 $ 216.00

BOARD OF EDUCATION CHAIRMAN $ 270.00

Qualifying for the offices listed above will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2022, and will end at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 11, 2022. Money Orders or Checks only. Qualifying for offices will be held at the Twiggs County Board of Elections Office, 425 Railroad St, Jeffersonville, Ga 31044 Room 123. The General Primary/Nonpartisan General/Special Election will be held on May 24, 2022, and the General Election will be held November 8, 2022.
