County of Jones issued the following announcement on Mar. 23. 

The Jones County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a Parks & Recreation Assistant Director.  This position is responsible for all tasks of the Recreation Department under the direction of the Department Director. These tasks include cleaning, grooming, repairing, and general routine maintenance of the recreational facilities, parks, and supervising employees working at the recreation facilities. This position requires being on-call to answer emergency or unusual situations as assigned by the Department Director.  The applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, Turf Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field and at least two years of progressive related experience. The applicant must have a valid Georgia driver’s license.
