County of Jones issued the following announcement on Dec. 17.
The Jones County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a part – time Kennel Attendant for Animal Services. The applicant must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid Georgia driver’s license. The applicant will perform work involving animal care and cleaning.

The Georgia Sex Offender Registry shows 39 registered sex offenders were living in Pike County as of the week ending April 18.
Twiggs County is home to 32 sex offenders registered as of the week ending April 18, according to the Georgia Sex Offender Registry.
