City of Forsyth issued the following announcement on May 18. 

The Forsyth Fire Department will continue the required fire hydrant testing during the month of May.  They will test fire hydrants in the areas to include: South Lee Street (Highway 42 South) from south of Newton Street to West Main Street; West Main Street from Lee Street to Memorial Hills Cemetery; and circling around back to Marshall Road to south of Newton Street. A map is included showing the testing area for this week as the highlighted section.   In the event that you experience discolored water during this testing, please run an outside faucet until it runs clear, then run the cold water inside until it runs clear, and lastly run the hot water.  If you experience continued issues, please call City Hall at 478-994-5649 or the fire department at 478-994-2040.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
