The Jones County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications for a full time Building Inspector.  The applicant will be responsible for the inspection of buildings and electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.  The applicant will inspect a variety of buildings and structures and their infrastructure to determine if relevant codes and regulations are being met.  The applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and 5 years’ experience in construction methods and materials used in residential, commercial, institutional and industrial structures.  Technical licensing in mechanical, plumbing, electrical and/ or building trades is preferred.
