Barnesville-Lamar County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 16.

We are pleased to announce the return of the Community Awards Celebration! 

Do you have a Woman of the Year you would like to nominate?

Rotary Club of Barnesville is seeking nominations for the 2022 Career Woman of the Year.

The purpose of the Career Woman of the Year award is to recognize a woman who has distinguished herself in her organization, her profession, her church, and her community. The

individual must work and live in Lamar County. This respected individual may work for a large company or be an entrepreneur—the common denominator is that she has been an inspiration

to many because of her leadership style, business acumen, and track record of nurturing and advancing the needs of those she serves. PREVIOUS RECIPIENTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE.

Nomination Forms can be obtained at the Barnesville- Lamar County Library or on the Barnesville- Lamar County Chamber of Commerce website. All information must be completed fully. Incomplete nominations will not be considered. They can be submitted to Post Office Box 303, Barnesville, GA 30204; dropped off at the Barnesville – Lamar County Library; Barnesville-Lamar County Chamber of Commerce; or e-mailed it to lndolvr@aol.com All nominations must be received by April 1, 2022.
