Rashard Johnson has been appointed as the new president of Atrium Health Navicent, overseeing the health system’s facilities in central Georgia. He will report to Delvecchio Finley, Atrium Health Georgia Market President. The facilities under his leadership include Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center in Macon, Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin in Milledgeville, and Atrium Health Navicent Peach in Byron.

Johnson brings experience from previous roles across several states. Most recently, he served as president of Atrium Health’s south market in North Carolina, where he led teams at multiple hospitals including Atrium Health Pineville, Union, Union West, and Anson.

“Rashard is an accomplished leader who is known for his hands-on approach to hospital management,” said Finley. “He works collaboratively with hospital leadership, medical staff, community partners, and others to drive improvements in clinical outcomes and operational efficiency. We are thrilled to welcome him to Atrium Health Navicent and look forward to working together to deliver exceptional health care to our community.”

Earlier in his career, Johnson was CEO for Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory Hillandale Hospital, and Emory Long Term Acute Care in Atlanta. He also led Advocate South Suburban Hospital and Advocate Trinity Hospital in Chicago.

His background includes serving as vice president of operations and chief operating officer for CHI St. Luke’s Health-The Woodlands, Lakeside, and Springwoods Village Hospitals near Houston. Before that role, he spent five years as assistant vice president of support services at UT Southwestern University Hospitals and Clinics in Dallas.

Johnson holds a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Central Florida. He is a member of both the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE). In addition to his professional responsibilities, Johnson serves on nonprofit boards such as the Wingate University Board of Trustees.
