Asking for the Public’s Assistance in Locating Missing Person

Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in a missing person investigation.

It was reported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office that 81-year-old Frederick Ellison Barber was last seen leaving his residence in the 1900 block of Mallard Avenue, at around 4:00p.m., on December 29, 2022. A close friend reported that he was drinking alcohol before he left the residence.

Friends stated that Barber likes to frequent the Patterson Street and Hillcrest Avenue areas.

Barber is described as a black male. He has gray hair and brown eyes. Barber is 6 feet in height and weighs between 158 to 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black colored hoodie with a blue silk t-shirt. He was also wearing blue jeans and beige colored slippers. Barber has been known to wear a bracelet with the words, “Happy Birthday.”

It was reported that Barber has some medical and mental health issues. It is not believed that Mr. Barber is in danger at this time, friends are concerned about is well being.
